2006-09-25 * Crochet with Mrs Muir This was the view through the windshield as we drove to the ALS ride on Sunday morning in Napa A few hours later, as I stood on a corner in Yountville directing cyclists to take a right at the fork, several pick-up trucks passed with balloon baskets in the back, and the balloons themselves mushed into tied-down canvas sacks. And, a gratuitous shot of vines, because after all I was in wine country Sadly I managed to pick up an icky cold somewhere along the way, so today I was very lazy indeed- mooching around sniffling into tissues and generally feeling sorry for myself. I wanted to make something, but didn't have the energy to wrestle out the sewing machine. After watching The Ghost and Mrs Muir, which is chock full of the most wonderful crocheted shawls and wraps, I finished a crochet WIP that has been IP for almost a year I've begun another crochet project and hope that it will be less than a year before it gets done, but I won't hold my breath (particularly because I can't breathe out of my nose as it is).
