2006-09-23 * Sand Castles and Bathtub Bumpers Last night I took Fall Dress 2.0 out to a party with Moondoggie. They had some of the most involved table centerpieces I've ever seen: The event was geared toward children, so there were rides, including bathtub bumper cars (I have never seen these before). Note that the people in them are very obviously *not* children: I had fun, the dress had fun, and now I am inspired to make myself a black sheath with 3/4 sleeves for when it gets cooler. And out of something warm but machine washable, so I will be on the hunt. I'm thinking grey washable ultrasuede, perhaps? We're off to Napa today, where Moondoggie will be participating in the ALS ride, and I will be volunteering (I have no idea how to actually help people with their bicycles, so hopefully I'll have a walkie talkie or someone who does know about patching tires with me). I don't know if I'll have time for craftiness, or get my act together to bring a portable project with me, but I will take pictures of how pretty it is up there!
