As you can see from the icon over there to your left, I'm participating in NaNoWriMo again this year. Hooray! While writing is something I love to do, it is also, perversely, something I can put off indefinitely. Or, once I get started, stop doing because I suddenly need something-- a tissue, a drink of water, lip balm. Which explains the picture above. The lovely Cath Kidston tray that sits on the desk by my printer, holds just about everything I need, and keeps me from getting up every 5 minutes. I'll have to take a close-up of my glass-- it has little seascapes etched on it.

One thing I can't do while writing is bake, however, I put some sugar cookie dough in the freezer back in the end of October. I defrosted it and this afternoon I rolled it out and used my brand new, entirely darling tiny autumn cookie cutters

I use a recipe from Paris Sweets that I like quite well. It is simple and the cookies taste best when rolled out very thin and allowed to go a bit brown around the edges.

I had to taste one (or maybe two) to make sure they're good, but the rest are a treat for Moondoggie, who will be going away for a few days.

Ok! Back to business!
