2006-05-04 * Thrifty

I am not a thrift shopper. Bargain shopper? Oh yes-- bring on T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, Ross, even Forever 21, but thrift shopping is not one of my gifts. However, I am inspired by the one-of-a-kind treasures and stories I see on Tag Sale Tales and Thrift Craft, and on so many crafty blogs.

Without further ado, I share with you my first thrifted treasure- Ta da!

Yep, it is a funky seventies bedsheet (at least it looks 70s to me?) to cut up and use for various projects. I know it won't set the world on fire, but it is a step in the right direction. To continue, I have plans to go to the famed (at least around here) Alameda Flea Market (wait! sorry, the Alameda Point Antiques and Collectibles Faire) with my friend Jen on Sunday morning. I plan to bring a set amount of cash and be very, very picky.
