2006-11-13 * Yay for Key West! Right! I never told you where I was going (this assumes "you" are not someone who got to hear my original ranty tale of the stupid airline over the phone). I was in the glorious, creative, inspiring town of Key West Florida. Did you know that chickens are a protected bird there? Yep, and they wander around free, peeping and clucking and crowing. The roosters are especially handsome I've been to Key West a few times before and have so many favorite places there it would take far too long to talk about all of them. But I'll tell you about one- The Key West Butterfly House. It is a magical place that defies description, so I'll just show you a few pictures I took a few videos-- a funny one of a butterfly boxing. You can hear my mom in the background noting that in fact it may be a moth. If you want to see more pictures of Key West (mostly wildlife and flowers), I created a photoset on Flickr. Now I'm back in San Francisco, where miraculously the nasturtium seeds I planted before I left have sprung up and gotten all leafy. I realise that it is nearly winter and what am I doing planting seeds, but I just wanted to try and see if they would work. They did, and I hope they make it! And now back to the business of NaNoWriMo and other productive things!
