2006-12-12 * Thrifty Things are mellowing out over here- the laundry is done, and the hair is washed, although the house still looks like a cyclone went through (sorry Moondoggie!). Today on my way to the post office I popped into the thrift store where I get my $1 paperbacks. They don't often have really nifty vintage stuff, since the space is small, and the turnover is high. However, today I SCORED I also picked up a stack of these: I am usually not a very good thrift shopper-- I dither about things being useless or too expensive for what they are, and end up feeling both disappointed and ripped off. But I think the feeling I had when I saw these (Need them!) is probably what should guide a person when thrifting. I'm looking forward to the next Alameda Flea Market, I think it is time to try it again.
