2007-03-06 * Things I Like Today I spent my crafty time today working with a frustrating pattern (oh my god, the PLEATS!) and fabric (super thin silk, yipes) and I haven't finished anything to show you! But I've got to tell you about a few things I adore today, in no particular order. Firstly, ranunculus Secondly, Eddie Izzard. OH my gosh, if you haven't watched or heard one of his comedy shows you must. He is so hilarious and erudite. They've been running his shows on BBC America lately, I think in preparation for a new show he is in called The Riches. Not sure if I'll be DVRing it, but I do enjoy his clever comedy. Who else would talk about the annoying propensity of pears to go from rock hard to mush, ripening only the moment when you leave the room? No one. Also hilarious and erudite is the web comic xkcd. I admit to not getting the math jokes, but I'm sure they are both brilliant and funny. Oh, and The Flick Skinny another very funny web comic. Not a comic, but wonderful is the blog Posy. I'm not sure where I've been, since obviously she's been around awhile. But my goodness! I want to live in her house! And other random tidbits: Hopefully the frustrating project will be finished tomorrow and worth my angst! If so, I'll show you.
