Often my sewing enthusiasms die unlamented deaths-- usually when I realise something is much more complicated or expensive to make than I originally thought. Thankfully yesterday's inspiring walk did not result in one of those times. Voila a successful lined muslin for a new spring jacket inspired by one I saw and swooned over at Jigsaw yesterday

The real thing, of course, will have sleeves. And I think one snap at the front, disguised by a large fabric-covered button.

Tomorrow I have a fun walk-by-the-bay-breakfast-pedicure date with dear Nancy. I've got all the jacket pieces cut in an off-white, nubby washed linen and hopefully will get to sewing them together before too long!
