I know, I know! Where have I been? Is anyone still out there? I do not have much crafting to share, but I do have some lovely and bucolic pictures from Western Connecticut. Ready?

The barn behind our hotel(or is it a silo? any more rurally aware people out there want to tell me? Toast 'n' Candy, I know you grew up in farm country), and the even more picturesque tumbledown shack

And of course what I forget about New England in the summer is the almost excessive abundance of lush green growing things. Like William-Morris honeysuckle (I know, it isn't called that, but it is how I think of it)

And wee wild strawberries

On the fourth of July I watched the tiny local parade pass by my parents' house, and meant to take pictures of the hilarious floats but was too busy enjoying them.

I am back to California tomorrow, where it is also lovely but in an entirely different way. And of course my sewing machine is there, and all other implements of craft, so there will be more productive posts forthcoming...
